HOW TO MAKE A ALGONQUIN COCKTAIL

ALGONQUIN COCKTAIL RECIPE /5

NOTES

The Algonquin cocktail a wonderful summertime whiskey martini with a lot of little tropical aptitude. It features Iowa Legendary Rye unaged rye, paired with dry vermouth and pineapple juice to produce a delightful, vivid cocktail that is a definite way to experience rye during the summer heat. Served in the evening after dinner or just sit back after a long day and unwind with your sumptuous cocktail on the porch.

The Algonquin cocktail was named after the legendary Algonquin Hotel in New York City, NY although when it was conceived is not clear. The midtown Manhattan hotel, built in the early 1900s, was known as a “dry” hotel well before Prohibition. Whether the mixed drink came around before or after the 1930s is up for debate. This drink endures as one of America’s famous traditional cocktails to experience for ages to come.
